Anna Laura Johnston, age 90, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday April 23, 2024, at CHI St. Vincent’s in Hot Springs. She was born on May 23, 1933, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Shelby and Gertrude Pennington Braden.
Annie attended First Assembly of God. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune, the Price is Right and cooking in her free time.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Edward Johnston, one daughter, Carla Massy, and three sisters, Mable Neeley, Geraldine Almond, and Ruth Copeland.
She is survived by one son, Ed Johnston (Bonnie) of Arkadelphia, two daughters, Linda Wright (John) of Caddo Valley, and Patty Eismann of Leavenworth, KS, one very special granddaughter, Deanna Hughes, fourteen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday April 30, 2024, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday April 29, 2024, at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
