
Lewis Wayne Lee, age 78, of Gurdon, went to be with the Lord on Good Friday, March 29, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born in Gurdon on April 26, 1945, the son of the late N.L. and Delphine (Stiffler) Lee. In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his only brother, Milton Lee, Sr.
As a young man, Lewis Wayne made his public commitment to Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon. He remained an active member there for his entire life. He loved his church, he loved people and he loved the Lord. Lewis was happiest when he could be outside, especially when working in his yard. He was a sweet, loving and gentle soul, and he will be missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
Survivors are his sister-in-law, Margaret Lee of Gurdon, two nephews, Milton Lee, Jr. (Karla) of Cabot and Scott Lee (Libby) of North Little Rock, one great niece, Megan Goodnight (R.J.), four great nephews, Jarod Lee (Addison), Vann Lee, Clayton Lee and Sully Lee.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon with Pastor David Graves officiating.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the cemetery on Thursday.
Pallbearers are Milton Lee, Jr, Scott Lee, Jarod Lee and R.J. Goodnight.
Memorials may be made to Beech Street Baptist Church.
