
Floyd D. Sturch, age 84, of the Curtis Community near Arkadelphia, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was born November 13, 1939 in Cleburne County, Arkansas to the late Clark and Louise Ellis Sturch. Floyd and his wife, Chestamae loved to be “on the go” and travel. He spent most of his career as a salesman in retail sales. Toward the end of his career, Floyd found enjoyment in driving log trucks and working with his peers. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Chestamae “Pat” Sturch; and daughter, Kimberly McLarry.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Rusty (Anita) Sturch, Gregg Winchell, Jeff Winchell, DeLane (Jeff) Besancon, Renea Landreth, and Jana (Lee) Courange; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 a.m., prior to the service. Services are 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Curtis. Pallbearers are Chris Courange, Adam Gilmore, Jared McLarry, Jeff Kratsch, Dale Ryan, and Brad Neal. Honorary pallbearers are Ernie Cleveland, Robert Gulley, George Scaife, Jerry Palmer, and Johnny Calley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Senior Adult Center in Gurdon, 410 East Main Street, Gurdon, Arkansas 71743.
