Clark County and surrounding areas are under a freeze watch Monday night and into Tuesday morning.
Sub-freezing temperatures are in the forecast for much of Arkansas from Monday evening through Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Little Rock.
Temperatures as low as 30°F are possible. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Areas impacted include portions of central, eastern, southeast, southwest and western Arkansas, as well as portions of neighboring states.
As with other areas, Arkadelphia can expect patchy frost after 3 a.m. Monday and before 8 a.m. Tuesday. Highs Monday will be in the mid-50s. Look for highs to reach the mid-60s on Tuesday.
Slightly warmer weather is expected Wednesday and Thursday, with chances of precipitation both days.
Tuesday marks the first day of spring.
