Clark County 4-H seeking members

The Clark County 4-H clubs are seeking new members. The purpose of these clubs is to give youth ages 5-19 an opportunity to participate in the youth development educational program of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. 

Youth in 4-H clubs will learn life skills, enhance leadership skills, and increase self-esteem while serving in community service projects. Youth in 4-H clubs have an opportunity to compete in competitive activities, attend camps and earn scholarships for education. 

The following is a list of the Clark County 4-H clubs, where and when they meet:

• Centerpoint 4-H Club meets the first Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Amity First Baptist Church Multipurpose Building.

• Leau Frais 4-H Club meets the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Youth Building at the Clark County Fairgrounds.

• Shining Stars 4-H Club is currently not meeting. Contact the Extension Office for more information.

• Gurdon Light 4-H Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Food Pantry in Gurdon.

• Go Devil 4-H Club (for Gurdon FFA members) meets in the Gurdon High School Agriculture Building. Meeting date and time varies.

• Shooting Sports 4-H Shotgun meets at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Arkadelphia at various times. Contact the Extension Office for more information.

• Shooting Sports 4-H BB and Archery meets each Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Old Reserve Center at the Airport in Arkadelphia.

• Teen Leader 4-H Club (for active 4-H youth ages 13-19) meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Youth Building at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Arkadelphia.

• Livestock Project 4-H Club meets at the Youth Building at the Clark County Fairgrounds. Meeting times vary. Contact the Extension Office for more information.
