Royce Glen McClure, age 77, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Friday, February 9, 2024, at his home. He was born January 20, 1947, in Gurdon, the son of the late Jessie and Ruby Easley McClure.
Royce graduated from Gurdon High School. He was a retired foreman for the Sprinkler Fitter Local #669. Royce was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Arkadelphia. He enjoyed wood working, hunting, fishing and just being outdoors.
Royce was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Elton McClure and one sister, Geneva Alexander.
Survivors are his wife of fifty-seven years, Judy Mauldin McClure of Gurdon, two daughters, Rita McClure of Gurdon and Karen Griffin of Hot Springs, one sister, Vivian Spruill of Gurdon, three grandchildren, Jesse Evans, Shelby Griffin and Korbin Griffin, and one great-grandchild, Arthur Martinez.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Rogers officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers Royce would like you to plant a Hardwood Tree in his memory.
