Arkadelphia police seek help identifying suspect in Dollar General armed robbery

The Dollar General adjacent to Atwoods in Arkadelphia was robbed Sunday evening, Feb. 11.

Arkadelphia police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed a local retailer at gunpoint this weekend.

On Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Dollar General store at 2727 Caddo St. in Arkadelphia was robbed.

A black male wearing a ski mask and gloves entered the store while brandishing a handgun and robbed the clerk working the register.

The suspect was described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing a zip-up black hoodie with blue jeans and gold-frame eyeglasses. Customers were present during the robbery and no injuries were reported by customers or staff.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the robbery and the suspect immediately fled the store on foot.

Police are asking anyone in the immediate area to review any surveillance video they have and contact them if they discover related footage. Anyone with information in this case is encouraged to contact Lt. Dustin O’Brien with the Criminal Investigation Division at 870-246-4545.
