Nora Parker

Nora Mae (Hughes) Parker, age 85, of Malvern, formerly of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center in Malvern.  She was born January 8, 1939, in Midway, the daughter of the late Van William and Ina Mae Sirratt Hughes.  

Nora was a 1956 graduate of Ouachita High School.  She worked as a clerk for the Hot Spring County Health Dept.  Nora was a member of Twin Lakes Baptist Church of Hot Springs and attended Taylor’s Chapel Baptist Church.  She loved to crochet in her free time.  

Nora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Donald Parker, Sr. and her daughter-in-law, Missy Parker. 

Survivors are two sons, James Donald Parker, Jr. of Midway and Michael Rodney Parker (Gina) of Curtis, three grandchildren, Michael Seth Parker, Alyssa Parker and Blake Caldwell, two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Van Etta Williams of Hot Springs.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Neighbors Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Scroggins officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to service time Thursday at the Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Danny Riggan, Timmy Cook, Glen Elkins, Freddie Volley, Ed Shells and Freddie Carl McDaniel.

Memorials may be made to the Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120.
