Floy Ethel Kusturin, age 85, of Gurdon passed from this life on Friday February 2, 2024, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born on August 31, 1938, in the Red Springs Community, the daughter of the late Luther and Susie Smith Jones.
Floy worked at Petit Jean and Levi’s and in her later years spent many hours babysitting children. She enjoyed mowing lawns and spending time outside.
Floy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Kusturin Jr. two brothers, Horace Jones, and Luther Jones, two sisters, Susie Pearl, and Marie Dixon, two brothers in law, Roy Dixon and Arvin Booy, and two sisters in law, Betty L Jones and Sara Jones.
Survivors are one son, Conrad Kusturin, one daughter, Barbara Kusturin both of Gurdon, two brothers, James Jones (Ann) of Gurdon, and Harold Jones of Gurdon, one sister, Leola Booy of Bismarck, and one sister-in-law, Betty Jo Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday February 7, 2024, at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Bro. John Woods officiating.
Interment will be at Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon.
Visitation is from 1:00 PM until service time on Wednesday.
