Doss Eason

Doss Algin Eason was born on March 10, 1950 in the Mt. Morriah Community of Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He was the second child born to Charlie Doss and Gilberta Smith Eason. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Morriah Baptist Church.

Doss was a graduate of Peake High School. After graduation he enlisted into the United States Army on December 23, 1969, and was honorably discharged on December 13, 1972. 

He was a former employee of RINECO Chemicals in Benton, Arkansas. He made his home in Hot Springs, Arkansas where he enjoyed writing, listening to gospel music, watching both baseball and football. 

He enjoyed the simple pleasures that life offered. He was an outstanding father and grandfather; who supported them in all endeavors. After 73 seasons of life on Monday, January 29, 2024 at the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was preceded in his passing by his parents, Charlie Doss Eason and Gilberta Smith Eason, a brother, Joseph E. “Joe Ed” Eason (2019), a niece, Traci Eason, and a nephew, Carl Johnson, Jr.

A lifetime of love and memories will be forever felt by his sons, Christopher Eason of Arkadelphia, AR and Seneca Nolen of Malvern, AR; two sisters, Fannie (Charles) Horton of Arkadelphia and Margaret (Carl) Johnson Arkadelphia; two brothers, Prince Lee (Catherine) Eason of Malvern, and Tracy (Sandra) Eason of Arkadelphia; and a sister-in-law, Wanda Berry Eason of Beirne, AR.  He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will greet and receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

A celebration of his life with military honors will be shared at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. A. S. Newburn, eulogist. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Eason, Seneca Nolen, Prince Lee Eason, and Tracy Eason.
