Betty Florence Head, age 96, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at her home. She was born April 3, 1927, in Clovis, NM, the daughter of the late Miles C. and Betty B. Williamson Freeman.
Betty and her family owned and operated an egg farm for many years. She was a Baptist by faith. Betty enjoyed, knitting, reading, fishing and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Milton Head, two daughters, Tina Head Guest and Betty Lou Ward, four brothers, Hoyle Freeman, William M. Freeman, Miles Christopher Freeman and Tommy Dan Freeman, two sisters, Helen Freeman Warren and Anna Freeman Cooper, and one grandson, Stoney Ward.
Survivors are five grandchildren, Heather Ficklin, Shiela Ward Hale, Elizabeth Harvison, Christopher Guest and Dollie Ward, son in law, Ray Guest, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Pike City Cemetery at Murfreesboro, AR, with Danny & Rebecca Beene officiating.
