Billy Smith

Billy Wayne Smith, age 78, of El Dorado, passed from this life on Sunday March 30, 2025, at CHI St. Vincent Medical Center in Hot Springs. He was born on January 1, 1947, in Gurdon the son of the late Charles and Betty Geraldine Smith.

Billy was a 1964 graduate of Gurdon High School. He was retired from Georgia Pacific. Billy was a member of Beech Street Baptist Church and a man of great faith who served his community diligently for thirty-eight years.  He was a fan of all sports and was a huge Arkansas Razorbacks fan.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are four daughters, Rachel Wyatt of Prescott, Jerusha McDonald (David) of Gurdon, Carrie Smith of Mineola, TX and Heather Neal (Rob) of Smackover, two sisters, Betty Eckert (Joe) of Gurdon and Susie Comstock (Joe) of Bismarck, seven grandchildren, Kyle Robertson (Cherish), Carista Bellar, Aubrey Shaw, Madison McLelland (Blake), Avery Neal, Emerson Neal and Miles McDonald, four great-grandchildren, Maddex Robertson, Karter Robertson, Maya Griffin and Wes McLelland.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 4, 2025, at Beech Street Baptist Church with Brother David Graves officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at the church on Friday.

Interment will be in South Fork Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Joe Charles Eckert, Miles McDonald, Trent Fronte’, Avery Neal, Kyle Robertson and Chase Griffin.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital or Beech Street Baptist Church Memorial Fund.

Feel free to wear your Razorback attire.  We will be calling the Hogs at the end of the service.
