Man charged with sexual assault of 3 young females in Clark County

Robert Crain

Felony charges were filed this week in Clark County, Arkansas, against a man accused of sexually assaulting numerous juvenile females.

Robert G. Crain, 73, faces one charge of rape and two counts of sexual assault. Three separate filings made in recent days allege that Crain, who lists a Hot Springs address, was residing in Clark County at the time of the alleged rapes.

All victims were pre-pubescent females at the time of the conduct, according to the affidavits.

The investigation dates to 2020, when the first victim revealed to a forensic interviewer that Crain had touched her inappropriately. Other affidavits indicate that two other victims came forward in July 2023.

One affidavit alleges that Crain forced a juvenile male to watch while Crain raped two of the females.

Crain was arrested Thursday, Jan. 11, and booked into the Clark County Jail.

The case was investigated by Sgt. Sherry Cleek of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
