Boil order lifted for Amity water customers

UPDATE: The boil order was lifted on Sept. 25 at 7 a.m.

Due to a break in a main line, the Amity Water Department has been placed under a boil order, the department announced Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023.

Until the boil order is lifted, all customers are advised that any water used for drinking or food preparation should be boiled briskly for one minute before using.

The boil order only affects customers of Amity Water Department.
