Mary Margaret “Dixie” Whitley, age 76, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center Hospice in Arkadelphia.  She was born July 29, 1947, in Rochester, NY, the daughter of the late John David and Margaret Darrington Devitt.  

Dixie was a homemaker and did home cleaning services for many years in the Arkadelphia area.  She was a member of the Catholic Church.  Dixie enjoyed going to flea markets and spending time with her family in her free time.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John Whitley.

Dixie is survived by her three children, Paige Williams of Arkadelphia, Josh Whitley (Alison) of Guntersville, AL, and Jon Evans of San Diego, CA, one brother, David Devitt of McDonough, GA, six grandchildren, Josh and Lizzie Whitley, Katie, Gray, Max and Jake Williams, and one great-grandchild.
