According to court documents, the Caddo Valley Police Department responded to a home on Frost Road for a report of a domestic disturbance with injury.

Upon arrival at the scene, the officer observed a male suffering from a “large laceration to his head.” Also at the scene the officer spoke to 23-year-old Rebecca Green, who relayed that she had struck the man on the head with a large sword she had in her home, according to a probable cause affidavit filed this week in Clark County Circuit Court. Green said the two had been in a “heated argument” when she hit him because “she felt he was coming after her.”

The male victim was transported to Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia with non-life-threatening injuries, and was treated and released the same day, according to local authorities.

Green is being charged with second-degree domestic battery, a Class D felony punishable by up to six years in prison. Her bond was set at $15,000. Green is set to enter a plea on Aug. 8 with representation from Clinton DeWitt of the Clark County Public Defender’s Office.

Green also faces misdemeanor charges of endangering the welfare of a minor, as a police report notes a child was inside the home at the time of the incident.
