Billie Jean Dixon, age 90, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.  She was born September 13, 1932, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Charlie Lee and Sophia Melinda McClure Loy.  

Billie Jean was a retired beautician and a Baptist.  She enjoyed cooking, fishing, sewing, four wheeling and most of all spending time with her family.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward Dixon and one brother, Charles Edward Loy.

Billie Jean is survived by one son, Ed Dixon of Arkadelphia, two daughters, Beverly Kelly of Arkadelphia and Phoebe Dixon of Hot Springs, one brother, Mike Loy of Arkadelphia, three sisters, Patricia Gardner Malcom of Prairietown, Charlene Stroud of Hot Springs and Debbie Haynie of Hot Springs, five grandchildren, Lance and Toby Garner, Ally, Isabella and Tucker Dixon, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Williams officiating.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
