Arkadelphia school meals increase by a nickel

Arkadelphia Public Schools this week announced the prices for student breakfasts and lunches for the 2023-24 school year:

K-12 Breakfast: $1.90
K-5 Lunch: $2.50
6-12 Lunch: $2.70

The price of each meal increased by 5 cents compared to last year’s prices.

To qualify for free or reduced-price meals, parents/guardians must complete an application for free and reduced-price meal benefits. Parents can now use an online application.

Families can also access a paper copy of the form if needed.

For 2023-24, the Arkansas Legislature passed Act 656 which allows for families qualifying for the reduced school meal benefit to receive their lunch for free. The family may still see their benefit recognized as reduced prices in correspondence, but the student will not owe for school meals this year.
