With hangar space renting out as fast as new buildings can be constructed, the Arkadelphia City Board voted on Tuesday evening to seek a grant for additional hangars at the local airport.

City Manger Gary Brinkley told the board that the city could get $596,000 for hangar construction and pay matching funds of $79,000 for a new four-bay hangar at Dexter Florence Memorial Field. Already, he noted there is a waiting list of five potential renters.

At the motion of Directors Jason Jones and Chris Porter, the board voted to seek the grant funding.
