Real Estate: Arkadelphia apartment complex sells for $1.1M

Clark County real estate transactions recorded July 14-27, 2023, having a value of $100,000 or greater. Information is gathered from public records held by the Clark County Circuit Clerk, online real estate records via actdatascout.com and the Arkansas Secretary of State. The Arkadelphian includes names of grantees, grantors, transaction price and property description available, and does not withhold names.

Highlighting this round of real estate transactions is the $1.1 million sale of Eagle Point Apartments, located at Country Club Road’s intersection with Thompson Road. The two-story, 16-unit apartment complex had belonged to the Arkadelphia-based Lawler Estates LLC, which is registered to Mike Lawler and purchased the apartment complex in 2021 for $1.4 million. Prior to that, in 2020, the property had sold for $1.03 million. The new owner is Al-Joy Properties LLC, whose manager is listed as Sam Emmerling of North Little Rock.

For $330,000 Desmond and Shawna Hamm bought 80 acres of pasture off of Bateman Road, in Okolona, connecting two parcels of land they currently own. Previous owner was Frederick White.

Nathaniel and Kristen Davis purchased a 1,758-SF brick home at the 800 block of North Park Drive, in Arkadelphia, for $265,000. Previous owners Jeremy and Selena Pilgreen bought the property in 2019 for $199,000.

For $250,000 the Duane L. Sowell Revocable Trust bought a majority of the 2400 block of Pine Street that was once the site of Park Hill Baptist Church. The deed excludes lands belonging to Providence Veterinary Care, Tobacco World and a vacant lot to its west. Previous owner was Greenleaf Partners LLC, which is registered to Scott Nelson of Malvern.

Andrea and Brian Theroux purchased a 2,119-SF brick home at the 400 block of North Park Drive, in Arkadelphia, for $250,000. Previous owners Richard and Deborah Friant bought the property in 2017 for $190,000.

For $190,000 Rachel Pierce bought a 2,224-SF brick and frame home and 1.7 acres on Friendship Drive, in Arkadelphia. Previous owners Jason Chism and Maria Fields-Chism paid $86,000 for the property when they bought it in 2014.

Derek Woodall purchased a 1,473-SF frame siding home on Phelps Circle, in Arkadelphia, for $179,000. Previous owners Andrew and Sydney Elmore paid $154,000 for the property in 2022.

For $175,000 William Holt bought a 1,260-SF frame siding home and 3.06 acres between Highway 53 and Slack Road, south of Gurdon. Previous owners Christopher and Charlotte Watson acquired the property in March 2023 for $25,000.

Jonathan Morrison purchased a 972-SF brick home and 4.35 acres on Dorothy Road, in the DeGray community, for $165,000. Previous owners Andrea and Brian Theroux paid $98,000 for the property when they bought it in 2021.

For $160,000 Virginia Dickerson bought a 1,876-SF brick home at the 100 block of Druid Hills Road, in Arkadelphia. Previous owners Deborah and David Sesser paid $110,000 for the home when they bought it in 2013.

Robert Chunn purchased a 1,411-SF frame siding home on Tower Lane, in the DeGray community, for $150,000. Previous owners were Edee and Jake Sunderland.

For $148,500 Natasha and Christopher Jones bought a 1,536-SF frame siding home at the 600 block of North 13th Street, in Arkadelphia. Previous owner was Dunn Enterprises LLC, which is registered to Kristopher Dunn, of Hot Springs, acquired the property in 2006 for $91,000.

Raul Martinez purchased a 1,606-SF brick home at the 1900 block of Walnut Street, in Arkadelphia, for $115,000 by way of trustees deed. Previous owners Jerry Dickens and Richard Cox paid $70,000 for the property when they bought it in 2020.
