Nellene Mauldin Welch age 99 of North Little Rock formerly of Arkadelphia, departed for heaven Thursday, June 15, 2023 in Sherwood. She was born February 17, 1924 to the late Van and Ethel (Dockery) Mauldin.

Nellene worked at the Ouachita Baptist University bookstore and retired from Elk Horn Bank (Southern Bancorp) in Arkadelphia. She and her husband, Glen were charter members of St. Andrew Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Nellene was a very nurturing and giving person that loved to do things for others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Welch; one son, Jack Welch; one grandson, Matthew Welch; one sister, Jackie Smith and two brothers, Don Mauldin and Bill Mauldin.

Survivors are one son, Steve Welch and wife, Deborah of North Little Rock; four grandchildren, Toby Welch, Tonya Tittle, Kelly Slade and Michael Welch; seven great-grandchildren, Laken and Oliver Tittle, Haley and Caleb Welch, Jack and Jane Slade and Ruth Welch and one brother, Gerald Mauldin of Wilkesboro, North Carolina.

Graveside service will be 4:00 PM Monday, June 19th at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Sanders officiating.

Memorials may be made to a hospice unit of your choice.
