Nancy Ann (Wasson) Wayland, age 59, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born December 28, 1963, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of Virles and Barbara Hunter Wasson.
Nancy was a 1982 graduate of Arkadelphia High School and a 1985 graduate of the University of Arkansas. She received her Master’s in Marketing from SNHU in 2019, and her Master’s in Literature in 2015 from SNHU. Nancy was a member of First United Methodist Church, Manchester Rural Community Involvement, Homemakers Extension Association, and in 2015 she was inducted into the Tau Delta Honor Society. She enjoyed reading, writing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Hunter Wasson.
Survivors are her father, Virles Wasson (Fonda) of Arkadelphia, her husband, Steve Wayland of Arkadelphia, one son, Hunter Wayland (Sierra) of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Lily Hardush (Steven) of Arkadelphia, two sisters, Carol Morgan (Allen) of Arkadelphia, and Jacque Hill (Glen) of Arkadelphia, three grandchildren, Ivy, Marigold and Magnolia Hardush.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at First United Methodist Church in Arkadelphia with Rev. Carroll Jackson and Rev. Zeke Allen officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Welch Funeral Home.
Interment will be private.
Memorials may be made to National MS Society.
Pallbearers are Hunter Wayland, Steven Hardush, Kurt Hill, Justin Kirksey, Brian Morgan and John Morgan.
