The Natural Resources Conservation Service is partnering with the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission and Greenway to offer a course on land management by way of fire.

The course, titled “Learn to Burn”, is an introduction to prescribed fire to educate landowners on the safe and effective use of fire as a land management tool.

Topics will include fire ecology, using fire to maintain wildlife habitat, writing a prescribed burn plan, liability and personal protective equipment and tools.

The event will be held Tuesday, July 27, from 5:30-8 p.m., at the Clark County Training Center, 35 McClellan Boulevard in Gum Springs.
