Gregory “Fox” Hannah

Gregory K. “Fox” Hannah, 73, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, with his beloved wife and son Marvin by his side. He was born on December 14, 1949, in Bauxite, Arkansas, to William K. Hannah and Jesteen Johnson (Hannah).

Gregory embraced his faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Johnson Street Church of Christ, where he learned the value of serving others. Known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, Gregory was always eager to assist in any way he could.

Throughout his life, Gregory displayed his diverse talents and passions. He had a deep love for music, which led him to become a DJ for the radio station at Henderson State University. He also found joy in working with horses and dedicated fifty years of his life to Oaklawn Race Track. Additionally, Gregory had a keen eye for cleanliness and started a successful car detailing business, where he meticulously cared for vehicles until his health began to decline.

Gregory, fondly known as “Fox,” was preceded in death by his father, William K. Hannah, and his brother, Kirk Hannah Sr. He graduated from Benton High School in 1967, leaving behind cherished memories of his time there.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 19 years, Maxine Hannah of Hot Springs, AR, his mother, Jesteen Hannah of Benton, AR, along with his children: Patrick DePaul (Takeila) Hannah of Durham, NC; Grenellya NikkiLove Hannah of Los Angeles, CA; Roxie Janella (Jeffrey) Browning of Alexander, AR; Kendall Vanilla Hannah of Baldwin Hills, CA; Kimberley Jaqueline Lanilla (David) Hannah-Prater of Baltimore, MD; Brooklyn Hicks of Little Rock, Arkansas; Talia Coleman and Tailyn Harris of the home. His three stepsons: Marvin Moody (Meggan), Derrick Moody, and Reginald Miles, are all from Hot Springs, Arkansas. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren: William and Tatum Hannah, Hannah and Gabriel Montgomery, Jai and Reese Browning, Jesteen Scott, and baby Prater (expected in Summer 2023). 14 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren, He is also survived by his four sisters: Jocelyn (Norman) Hurst of Benton, Arkansas; Wanda (Sam) Calvin of Benton AR; Cynthia Hannah, Little Rock, AR, and Jennifer Hannah of Washington, D.C., and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation to pay respects and offer condolences will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Woodridge Street Church of Christ, located at 133 Woodridge Street, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901. The funeral service will take place on May 20, 2023, at 11:00 am at Airport Road Church of Christ, situated at 948 Airport Road, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901.

The family of Gregory “Fox” Hannah would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all their family, friends, and acquaintances, both near and far, for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
