James “Jim” John Joseph Longworth, age 83, of Manning, passed from this life on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at CHI St. Vincent’s Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born July 9, 1939, in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late James and Alice Margaret Lynch Longworth.
Jim was retired from the United States Army and as a machinist retired from Coors Corporation. He was a member of Manning Baptist Church. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, riding horses, four wheelers and working in his yard in his free time.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Jim Kauffman Longworth of Manning, three sons, Roger Burroughs (Christie) of Gurdon, Jonathan Burroughs of Manning and Joey Burroughs of Hot Springs, eight grandchildren, John Adam Burroughs, Nicole Yvette Bailey, Stephanie Bost, Cody Burroughs, Nicholas Burroughs, Logan Burroughs, Macy Burroughs and Alex Jon Burroughs, and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby George officiating.
Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment with full military honors will be held at Delamar Cemetery at Manning.
Pallbearers are Mark Bost, Brian Vandiver, Jon Burroughs, Cody Burroughs, Logan Burroughs and Jonathan Burroughs.
