Arkansas is home to a diverse population, the Hot Springs nonprofit organization said Tuesday in a press release, and Medicaid plays a “critical role in ensuring that vulnerable communities have access to high-quality healthcare.” Medicaid provides coverage for a range of medical services, including primary care, mental health services, and prescription medications.

United Way of the Ouachitas has worked closely with state and local agencies to ensure the timely renewal of Medicaid coverage.

“We are pleased to announce the partnership with Medicaid to help Arkansans keep their Medicaid coverage. We want to inform everyone how important it is to fill out the renewal forms and send in as soon as possible,” executive director Sarah Fowler said.

In addition to informing Arkansans about renewing Medicaid coverage, United Way of the Ouachitas is committed to providing education and resources to help individuals and families understand their healthcare options.
