A Donaldson man died Tuesday morning in a car accident on a rural Hot Spring County road.

Bobby J. Brown, 82, of Donaldson, was a passenger in a 1994 Toyota that was traveling eastbound on Antioch Road when the vehicle “left the north side of the roadway and struck a tree,” according to a fatal crash summary filed by Arkansas State Police. The report does not name a driver of the vehicle.

The accident happened at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, March 21. Sgt. Kirk McClenahan, who investigated the accident, noted in his report that the road condition was wet and that the weather was rainy.

Brown died at the scene. Brown’s daughter, Debbie Brown Sherwood, was transported to CHI St. Vincent and released Wednesday, according to a relative.
