Fred White

Frederick (Fred) James White died February 16 of cardiac arrest in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fred was born in Arkadelphia September 17, 1947 and grew up in Okolona.

He graduated from Henderson State University where he was a member of Theta Xi Fraternity and earned a degree in Business Administration. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He had a successful career in sales before retiring to Las Vegas where he lived for more than 30 years and spent the rest of his life helping people recovering from addiction and is remembered with fondness and appreciation. He had been an avid hunter and fisherman in his youth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reba Jean McGuire White and Truman F. White. He is survived by his sister, Gloria White (David Gogol), his niece, Catherine, and nephew, Nikolas, all of Washington, DC, his uncle, Gleason McGuire of Alexander, his aunt, Margaret Saunders of Donaldson, Pat McGuire of Alexander and numerous cousins in and around Clark County.

Cremation services were entrusted to The Neptune Society.
