Saundra Sue McGalliard, age 75, of Gurdon, passed from this life on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at her home.  She was born December 8, 1947, in Gurdon, the daughter of the late Loye and Ludie Herron Tucker. 

Saundra was a 1965 graduate of Arkadelphia High School.  She did in home babysitting for more than thirty-five years.  Saundra was a member of Beech Street Baptist Church in Gurdon.  She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, played in bi-weekly card clubs and also loved trying her luck pulling on an occasional slot machine. 

Saundra was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob McGalliard, one sister, Sheila Tucker and her son in law Chad Cummings.

Survivors are her son, Brian McGalliard (Hope) of Gurdon, two daughters, Lora Pope and Renee Cummings of Gurdon, one sister, Diane Ledbetter of Arkadelphia, one brother, Troy Tucker (Kim) of Arkadelphia, six grandchildren, Kelli Pennington, Jennifer Lusk, Cole Pope, Grant and Goldee McGalliard and Cody Blair, five great-grandchildren, Piper King, Abby Grayson, Jax Shaver, Ellie and Lexann Lusk.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Welch Funeral Home with Bro. David Graves officiating.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Troy Tucker, Brent Tucker, Gary Jester, Cole Pope, Grant McGalliard, Michael Grayson, Lee Ledbetter and Tucker Guy.
