Betty Jo Bunn, age 83, of Bismarck passed from this life on Wednesday March 1, 2023, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton. Betty was born on March 6, 1939, in the New Deroche community the daughter of the late Joe and Alberta Estep Bunn.
She worked as a Licensed practical nurse for several local hospitals for many years. Betty was a member of the Lambert Assembly of God. She enjoyed playing the piano for church and in her free time.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, Delta and Bessie Estep, and John and Angie Bunn.
She is survived by one brother, Gerald Bunn (Brenda) of Bismarck, one sister, Cheryl Smyly of Bismarck, one aunt, Marcille Thornton, four nephews, Darren Bunn (Donna) of Bismarck, Michael Bunn (Rebecca) of Arnold, MO, Clay Bunn (Sandra) of Winchester, KY, Drew Smyly (Amber) of Hot Springs and many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday March 6, 2023, at Prairie Bayou Church in Bismarck with Kelly Thomas and Keith Thornton officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time.
Pallbearers are Darren Bunn, Drew Smyly, Dennis Thornton, Clay Bunn, Billy Bunn and Bobby Bunn.
Memorials can be made to the Prairie Bayou Cemetery Fund.
