Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. Monday, Feb. 27
12:03 p.m.
Mariel Dejuan Banks, 31, was arrested after his lover told police he strangled her over infidelity.
3:03 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of threats of violence from Kenyatta Deann Withers, 35, who became aggressive towards a woman who posted a picture of Wither’s child on social media. A man on the scene claimed to be the child’s father, and that the threatened woman was his significant other.
3:36 p.m.
A man reported that a black male in a white pickup truck with a trailer attached pulled into his driveway on Logan Street and stole his red Honda generator. The property owner attempted to follow the suspect by car, but lost sight of the truck and trailer.
Tuesday, Feb. 28
Officers worked a case of forgery and sealed it as a felony case.
2:56 p.m.
A woman reported that her Apple Pay account was compromised and used to purchase an iPhone worth $911.
3:31 p.m.
Officers arrested Shaquille Lajuan Murphy, 25, for theft after Brookshire’s management reported him stuffing a package of Hostess chocolate donuts, a Hostess Twinkie, a Monster energy drink, and a bottle of wine in his hoodie pocket and backpack.
Officers worked a case of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver involving a juvenile.

Wednesday, March 1
2:47 a.m.
After a belligerent phone call to the Arkadelphia Police Department by William Paul Gatlin, 42, officers responded to a report of public intoxication at the Exxon gas station on Pine Street by the suspect’s father, Sammie Gatlin. Officers arrested William after receiving notice that he and his father had traveled to the AT&T parking lot.
Thursday, March 2
Officers investigated a case of possession of a controlled substance and sealed it as a felony case.
2:33 p.m.
Brookshire’s management reported that Allie Faye Balch, 64, was found on camera leaving the store with $74.93 worth of stolen groceries in her cart.
Officers worked a case of HIV exposure involving a juvenile.
