Two Bismarck residents were killed late Friday in a crash on state Highway 84 in the Lambert community.

Jon Hill, 43, and David Jackson, 44, both of Bismarck, were killed in a single-vehicle accident in Hot Spring County. 

According to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary, the pair were traveling east in a 2021 Dodge Charger near Chestnut Drive in the Lambert community when Hill, the driver, veered off the roadway to the right shoulder. Hill reportedly over-corrected, and the vehicle traveled out of control, crossing the highway and into a ditch on the north side ditch, where it overturned and struck a tree.

Both Hill and Jackson were pronounced deceased by the Hot Spring County coroner.

The accident happened at 10:38 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, under clear skies and dry road conditions, according to Trooper Kendrick Davis who investigated the accident.
