The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Sunday, Jan. 22
12:08 p.m.
Officers responded to Baptist Health Medical Center for a family disturbance. A man visiting his hospitalized wife reported her daughter and grandson attempted to steal her purse and that a physical altercation ensued. The alleged assailants fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Saturday, Jan. 21
Noon
In a report related to the above incident, the daughter told police that she suspected her mother was being poisoned as she had been hospitalized “numerous” times of late.

Officers investigated a report of aggravated assault and breaking or entering and sealed the report as a felony case.

3:55 a.m.
A Welch Street woman reported a known suspect broke into her residence and stole her phone and miscellaneous items of clothing.

Friday, Jan. 20
10:25 a.m.
Officers responded to Powder Mill Apartments, 2801 Twin Rivers Dr., for a tenant/landlord dispute over the location of a parked U-Haul truck.

12:26 p.m.
An officer followed up with a Jan. 17 report of a construction worker’s complaint that his boss fired him and then placed him in a headlock while on a job at Twin Rivers Plaza.

Arrests in Clark County

Friday, Jan. 20
Orlando L. Dosia, 37, was arrested and held for continued detention.

Saturday, Jan. 21
Tervonica Lachristy Giles, 26, was arrested by Arkadelphia police and held for continued detention.

Brody Dan Joyce, 36, was arrested for a probation violation.
