The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Thursday, Jan. 12
11:28 a.m.
Officers responded to a Cutler Street residence for a verbal altercation between relatives over ownership of a vehicle. One person was advised to leave and did so without incident.
6:30 p.m.
Police detained a shoplifter at Walmart after she used an old receipt to return merchandise.
Wednesday, Jan. 11
9:25 a.m.
A Sylvia Street woman reported receiving two packages in the mail from Walmart she did not order. The responding officer advised her to check her Walmart account to ascertain there was no fraudulent activity of late.
6:07 p.m.
A mother walking with her children on 16th Street reported that she had been approached by an older white male in a white pickup truck, and that the man asked if he could buy her breast milk.
7:26 p.m.
A Sylvia Street man reported being harassed by his estranged wife who violated the no-contact order she had filed against him. She left on foot prior to the report. The complainant was advised of affidavit procedures.
Tuesday, Jan. 10
8:56 p.m.
Officers arrested a woman at Ashbury Court for public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following a report of an unwanted person beating at a door. Arrest records do not reflect that she was booked into the local jail facility.

9:13 a.m.
Officers detained a shoplifter at Walmart who failed to pay at a self checkout lane.
3:27 p.m.
Officers were summoned to Patterson Federal Credit Union, 124 W.P. Malone Dr., where an employee reported vandalism to a repossessed vehicle, its windshield damaged from an apparent BB shot through it.
4:28 p.m.
Officers arrested a man at a Robin Lane residence after responding to a physical altercation between relatives.

Tuesday, Jan. 10
8:32 p.m.
Deputies responded to a residence at Highway 182 West, Amity, for a disturbance between a male and female. The female had fled the home and ran to an adjacent property to await police arrival. The male suspect had fled the scene and was not located.

Robert Turner, 31, was arrested and held for continued detention.
Jeffery Smith, 41, was arrested for third-degree domestic battery.
Tuesday, Jan. 10
Christopher Mauldin, 31, was arrested for failure to appear.
Braxton Gravett, 23, was sentenced to Arkansas Community Corrections.
Wednesday, Jan. 11
Aaron Gregory Church, 26, was arrested for second-degree sexual assault.
Jesus Guadlope Vasquez-Garcia, 22, was arrested for careless and prohibited driving and driving left of center.
