Shanette Campbell

The life of Shanette L. Campbell came to a close on Monday, January 2, 2023 with her family by her side. She fought a valiant fight with cancer since 2011. Shanette was born to the union of Billy Sr., and Margaret Ann Campbell on March 21, 1979 in Gurdon, Arkansas.

She accepted Christ as a little girl and was a member of First Memorial COGIC. She grew up in the country down in Beirne and was a 1997 graduate of Gurdon High School. Shanette loved life and lived life to the fullest. She loved to go fishing and she fell in love with it. She enjoyed watching crime shows and cooking. She specialized in cooking seafood boils.

Her greatest accomplishment was being the mother of three loving children whom the doctor claimed that she would never have. She made sure that her children were safe, clean, fed and happy. She hosted the best sleep overs for her children, their friends, her nieces and nephews.

She worked for Sodexo at Henderson State University and was a caregiver with Friendship Community Services. She loved taking care of people and developed special relationships with many of the families. Her life was rewarding and full.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Shantelle McClain and her niece, Janilah Shantelle Williams

Shanette leaves fond memories with her family Eric McClure and their children, Miracle, Asya and Amari all of Arkadelphia; her parents, Billy and Margaret Campbell of Arkadelphia; her sisters, Nicky (Chris) Harrison and Khadijah Campbell both of Arkadelphia and three brothers, Billy Campbell, Jr., of Texarkana, TX, Kentrell Green of Arkadelphia, AR and Marcus White of Lansing, MI; her grandmother, Suzanna Riley of Texarkana, TX and her nieces and nephews.

She also leaves her best friend, Keasa Hayes, several other friends; her aunts, uncles, cousins and the First Memorial COGIC family.

Services to remember her life will be shared at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023 in the Chapel at Williams Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery, Beirne.

Pallbearers will be Chris Harrison, Jonathan Lacy, Jamelle Lacy, Mark Williams, Lonnie Lacy Jr., Brandon Cheatham and Oliver Webster.
