Miriam E. Buck, 86, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022. 

She was born July 4, 1936, in Gurdon to W.J. “Wimpy” and Geraldine (Patterson) Hendricks. Miriam graduated from Arkadelphia High School in 1954. She worked for West Brothers Department Store as a salesperson for 32 years. Miriam was known for compiling several books about the history of her family and Clark County. She was a charter member of Park Hill Baptist Church of Arkadelphia.

Miriam was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, W.J. “Sonny” Hendricks. 

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Elendle Buck; her brother, Larry Hendricks; her sister, Georgie Sue Garrett; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, December 4, from 1-4 p.m. at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5, at 10 a.m. at Park Hill Baptist Church of Arkadelphia.
