Vera Pauline Henson, age 96, of North Little Rock, passed from this life on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, at Sherwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sherwood.

She was born September 2, 1926, in Caney Creek, Ark., the daughter of the late William Thomas and Eugenia Fox Stewart. Vera was of the Baptist faith. She worked in sales for L.B. Price Mercantile Company. Vera enjoyed embroidery and ceramics in her free time.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.C. Henson; and one son, Jim Surber.

Survivors are two daughters, Mary Sellers (Larry) of Vilonia and Jeannie Foster (David) of Little Rock; two sons, Mike Surber of Jacksonville and Randy Henson of St. Augustine, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Craig Sellers (Tina), Wendy Sellers, Michelle Surber (David), Kristin Foster Charlotte Devoe, Jamie Mello and Braden Lewis; and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Jones Cemetery Chapel in Amity. Visitation is from 11-11:30 a.m. at the cemetery chapel.
