
Olin Wade “Buggs” Callaway, age 94, of Gurdon, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia.
He was born February 21, 1928 in Arkadelphia, the son of W.G. Callaway and Faye Greeson Callaway. Olin worked as a pot operator at Reynolds Metal. Buggs enjoyed quail hunting, fishing, trapping, but his pride and joy was to garden. He was a member of Buggs Hunting Club and was a volunteer firefighter.
Olin was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Vicki Milloway and Lucille Phillips; and one brother, Howard Callaway.
Survivors are his wife, Frances Tucker Callaway; one daughter, Melinda Callaway; one son, Mike (Lois) Callaway; granddaughters, Shannon Callaway, Becky Callaway, Jennifer Michelle Ashley, Lindsey Nicole (Colton) Durham; great-grandsons, Kix Durham and Zayne Ashley; special nephew, Nicky Todd; special nieces, Carolyn Bell and Eula Frances Jackson; and special great-niece, Kellye Wood.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel. Burial will be at Richwoods Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
