RUSSELLVILLE — Ouachita Baptist University women’s soccer player Abbey Moore has been named the Great American Conference defender of the week for the second time this season.

This time, Moore has been awarded for her efforts in Ouachita’s 2-0 road win over Harding last Thursday. It was the first Great American Conference game of the season, and the only game of the week for the Tigers.

The Maumelle, Arkansas native helped the Tigers secure their first shutout victory of the season. She played the full 90 minutes on the back row for the sixth time this season.

Moore first earned GAC defender of the week honors following the opening week of the 2022 season. She and the Tigers are back in action on Thursday, September 22 at home against Oklahoma Baptist. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Kluck Field.
