UPDATED POST: Internet and phones at Centerpoint Elementary school have been restored as of Wednesday morning. The school may now be reached at its regular number, 870-356-2912.

Overnight storm damage have caused temporary phone and Internet issues for students and faculty at two area school districts.

Centerpoint School District announced Tuesday morning, Sept. 6, that its elementary school was “currently experiencing an Internet outage, and the phones are not working either.” Parents who need to contact the school were being asked to call a temporary cell phone at 870-260-4788. Parents planning to check their students out to participate in the Pike County Fair Parade were asked to do so by 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Similar issues were being reported in Hot Spring County. The Bismarck School District said on social that its phone lines were “temporarily down. CATC is aware of the issue and they are currently working to fix the problem. We are sorry for any inconvenience.”
