The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Tuesday, Aug. 23

1:35 p.m.
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance between a man and woman at the 1000 block of Clinton Street. The female told police the man pulled a knife during the argument and slashed a couch he had recently purchased.

Officers investigated a report of endangering the welfare of a minor.

Monday, Aug. 22

8:30 a.m.
A downtown business reported the outer pane to its front door had been broken. There was no sign of attempted entry.

3:11 p.m.
Police arrested a woman at Walmart for shoplifting.

8:57 p.m.
A resident at the 500 block of South 8th Street reported a stolen firearm.

Arrests in Clark County

Tuesday, Aug. 23

Khiry DeWayne Hart, 31, was arrested by Arkadelphia police for driving with a suspended license.

Jermaine Lawson, 46, was sentenced to the Arkansas Department of Correction.
