Snapchat messages to juvenile land man in jail

Garner

An Amity man faces felony charges after Clark County authorities say he sent lewd messages to a juvenile.

Chase Ethan Garner, 22, was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual indecency with a child.

According to an affidavit filed June 27 in the Clark County Circuit Clerk’s Office, a deputy was summoned to Garner’s residence in March for a domestic disturbance report. The complainant showed the deputy some sexually explicit messages Garner allegedly sent to a juvenile using the instant messaging app Snapchat.

Investigators conducted a Crimes Against Children interview with the victim that same day, and later interviewed Garner who, according to the affidavit, said he knew the victim was underage.

Garner is being represented by the public defender’s office.

Garner’s next court appearance is set for September 6 in Clark County Circuit Court.

  1. The arrest warrant publicly available online states:

That the victim stated the messages from Chase Ethan Garner were meant as sexual. That the messages “No problem and if you’re free mind if I come get some?”, and “I mean I’m fine with just some head”. Indicating that Chase requested to meet in order to engage in deviate sexual activity from the victim.

That on the 28th day of March 2022, an interview was conducted by this affiant with Chase Ethan Garner who stated he knew the juvenile female victim was 14 years of age and the messages were a request for deviate sexual activity involving oral sex.

Since he’s only being charged with a class D felony, the maximum amount of time he can get in prison is 6 years, but most cases like this don’t result in any prison time, just a slap on the wrist (because, I’ll say it again, the government is controlled by pedophiles).
