The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Wednesday, July 6
3:06 p.m.
Officers responded to a complaint of shoplifting at Walmart. A woman was cited for shoplifting $1,000 or less and released.
6:25 p.m.
Officers responded to a welfare concern at Southview Apartments and found a woman deceased. Officers found no signs of foul play.
8:20 p.m.
Officers responded to a complaint at Cox Mobile Manor. A woman reported that a neighbor entered her residence through the front door and struck her. The complainant struck back. A verbal altercation followed. The neighbor left the complainant’s residence when the complainant threatened to call police. Police advised the complainant to contact the city attorney to press charges.

A woman reported fraudulent use of her credit card.

Wednesday, July 6
3 a.m.
A Whelen Springs woman reported a man trying to sneak in and spend the night in one of the rooms of her residence. The woman reported previously informing the man that he is no longer welcome. The man was not present when officers arrived.
9:30 a.m.
A Gorman Loop man reported someone digging on the back side of his property. An Arkadelphia Water Department employee said the department had contracted with a construction crew to dig a line crossing the county road to install a water line for a new subdivision. The complainant said he was unaware of any easement and had not given permission to dig.
1 p.m.
A Highway 51 N. woman reported that a neighbor had brush-hogged land over which the woman and the neighbor are in current litigation.
1:09 p.m.
A Gurdon woman reported identity theft after she was locked out of her Facebook account for suspicious activity and asked to enter personal information to unlock the account. On June 30, the woman received a letter from Target Card Services about a credit card she did not apply for.
2:06 p.m.
A Burrow Road couple reported residential burglary. The woman reported she returned home to find the back door had been forced open and the door jamb broken. A PS4, three controllers, and an AR-15 rifle were reported missing.
2:30 p.m.
An Arkadelphia man reported a kayak missing from the Q dock at Iron Mountain Marina. The man was unsure if the kayak had been stolen or had floated off in recent storms.
7 p.m.
A Mt. Morriah Road woman reported that her estranged husband had come to the house and refused to leave. He left before police arrived. The woman was advised on how to obtain a no-contact order.

Tuesday, July 5
Robert Lee Poe, Jr., 36, was sentenced to Arkansas Department of Corrections.
Jason Glasspool, 41, was held on bond revocation.
Tabitha Baker, no age listed, was sentenced to Arkansas Community Corrections.
Ja’rhrealin Heyward, 19, was held by APD for continued detention.
