A retired Prescott school teacher is facing felony charges in Clark County following a rape investigation.
Doyle Wayne Malcom, of Gurdon, was arrested on June 3 for three counts of rape, Sheriff Jason Watson announced Monday. Malcom, 76, has since posted $75,000 bond and was placed on house arrest. A press release from the sheriff’s office notes that Malcom was a former teacher at the Prescott Public School District.

Arraignment has been scheduled for July 5, with formal charges to be determined by Clark County Prosecutor Dan Turner.
Watson was tight-lipped about the case. The sheriff said Monday morning that he was unable to provide further details on the investigation.
The Arkadelphian will release more information as it becomes available.
