Despite low early voting numbers in Clark County, the race for Arkansas Senate District 3 appeared to flip in favor of the challenger in both candidates’ home county.
At 8:15 p.m., Republican challenger Steve Crowell reported a win in early voting results in Columbia County. Incumbent Charles Beckham took Clark County with 772 votes to Beckham’s 373.
But a win in early voting results from Columbia County indicates Crowell is leading 1,464-1,339.
That senate district also includes Hempstead County. The Arkadelphian does not have any unofficial results from that county.
