
David Arthur Ferguson, age 92, of Arkadelphia, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022 in Arkadelphia. He was born December 25, 1929, to Arthur and Evalena Watson Ferguson. David was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
David was a retired soil conservationist with the State of Arkansas. He previously was a principal and math teacher at Delight High School. He loved his vegetable garden and was an avid Razorback fan.
Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Mary Frances Taylor Ferguson; one daughter, Meredith Taylor Novak and husband, John; one son, Stanley David Ferguson and wife, Lorraine; three grandchildren, Harley Addison White, Riley Neal White and husband, Andrew Schreiber, John Taylor Ferguson and fiancé, Ellen Timmerman.
David will lie in state 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Bro. Ray Franklin officiating. Burial will be with military honors.
Pallbearers are Jerry Burrow, George Finkle III, John Novak, Phillip Fowler, Paul Fowler and Thomas Fowler.
Face masks are requested but are optional.
