The City of Arkadelphia is pleased to announce the appointment of Sanitation Superintendent Daymond House.
House was selected as the new Sanitation Superintendent on February 23, 2022 following a competitive interview process. He was introduced to the Board of Directors at their March 1 meeting.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve as the city’s new Sanitation Superintendent,” House said. “Arkadelphia has been my home for a long time and I love it here. I’m ready to get started.”
House spent the past decade serving as a Transfer Station Operator within the Sanitation Department. His appointment comes as his predecessor, Donny Manning, announced his retirement after a 45-year career with the City of Arkadelphia.
“I am so pleased Daymond has agreed to lead the Arkadelphia Sanitation Department,” City Manager Gary Brinkley said. “With over 10 years of experience in the department and a vision for the future, Daymond will serve the citizens and businesses of Arkadelphia well.”
House’s first day as Sanitation Superintendent was Tuesday, March 1.
