The following incidents were gathered from reports filed at the Arkadelphia Police Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Names of arrested individuals were collected at the Clark County Detention Center on Crittenden Street in Arkadelphia. They are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law. The Arkadelphian does not withhold names from the arrest log, so don’t even think about asking.

Arkadelphia Police Department

Thursday, Feb. 10
10:04 a.m.
A Pine Street man reported a known male took his vehicle without permission. Another party spotted the car in Bearden.

2 p.m.
Officers responded to 22nd and Haddock streets for a disturbance in which a woman reported a known male struck her in the back with either a billiards cue or golf club, kicked her in the back and stole her pain medication in the process. The responding officer noted a torn shirt but no other visible signs of injury. She was advised of warrant procedures; no arrest was made.

6:43 p.m.
Officers responded to a Robey Street residence for a welfare concern.

Police opened a felony case of breaking or entering.

Wednesday, Feb. 9
11:31 a.m.
Officers responded to a residence at the 400 block of North 14th Street, where a woman said she was awakened at 5:30 a.m. by her barking dogs to find an unknown black male standing outside her ajar front door, which she said she had locked. He said he was looking for someone and apologized for being at the wrong house before leaving on foot. The reporting officer spoke with a neighbor who said she had seen a man fitting the description on her property recently.

Police opened a felony case of aggravated assault.

Thursday, Feb. 10
1:58 p.m.
Deputies responded to Piney Trail near its junction with state Highway 53 North for a log truck engulfed in flames. The driver was able to escape without injury. Alpine and DeGray firefighters responded to extinguish the blaze, which the driver said started at the firewall.

Wednesday, Feb. 9
11 a.m.
An Olive Road, Amity, man reported the theft of a .22 rifle by a known female.

11:30 a.m.
A Highway 8 man reported nearly falling victim to a phone scam.

Arrests

Wednesday, Feb. 9
Joseph Christopher Harper, 39, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession o drug paraphernalia.
Cullen Ray Gulley, 23, was arrested for breaking or entering and theft of property.

Thursday, Feb. 10
Brandon Martin Wright, 36, was arrested for endangering the welfare of a minor, aggravated assault and second-degree domestic battery.
Israel Ireno Garden, 23, was arrested by Group 6 Narcotics and held on continued detention.
