ARKADELPHIA — Following a 30-10 road win this past Saturday over Southwestern Oklahoma State University, the Ouachita Baptist University football team has moved up to No. 11 in both major NCAA Division II top 25 polls.
The Tigers (5-1) are now ranked No. 11, up one spot in both the American Football Coaches Association Top 25 and the D2Football.com Top 25.
Ouachita started the season ranked No. 11 and rose to No. 7 in one of the polls before losing to Harding on September 25, the program’s first conference loss in 31 games. Since then, Ouachita has won both of its games to remain in the top 20, and this week moved one spot away from the top 10 due to previously 11th-ranked Minnesota State’s second loss of the season this past Saturday.
The Tigers face off against Arkansas-Monticello this Saturday on the road. It will be Ouachita’s second game of the year against a team with a winning record. UAM is 4-2 this season.
