Officers responded to an apartment complex at the 1000 block of Village Drive for a report of a hit-and-run to a parked vehicle. The complainant said he followed the suspect’s vehicle to Caddo Valley in order to provide police with a license plate number, but there was no return. The reporting officer observed no fresh damage to the complainant’s vehicle.

5:03 p.m.
A deputy was summoned to Shields Lumber Company, where a man reported someone slashed the tires on his minivan. The person suspected of the mischief was a man he had sold a car to recently, as he showed up to the complainant’s work demanding his money back and wanted to fight because the vehicle had already stopped running.

Wayne Lionel Nelms, 41, continued detention.
Tuesday, Aug. 17
Albert Williams, 68, continued detention.
Robert Whittecar, 30, was arrested by Arkansas State Police for driving while intoxicated.
Wednesday, Aug. 18
Robert Whittecar, 30, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
